Is Money a Blessing in Christ?

There was a man in the Bible, who came to Jesus to ask him what he had to do to be saved, Jesus is going to quote the commandments of God to him, and this man is going to say that he has observed them from his youth. ; and Jesus will answer him that he lacks only one thing to be perfect, that is to sell all his goods, to give them to the poor, and he says to him: and you will have treasure in heaven, then come and follow me . This man is going to go away very sad because he had great possessions and he did not want to be detached from it. Jesus will then tell those who were with him that it is more difficult for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle:

"The young man said to him:" I have kept all these things from my youth. What do I still lack? "Jesus said to him:" If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give- to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me. "But when this young man heard this saying, he went away very sad, because he had many properties. Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly, I say to you, it will be difficult for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I tell you again: It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than it is it is to a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God. "" (Matthew 19: 20-24)

The eye of a needle was the name of a gate in Jerusalem through which camels had to bow their heads to pass and could not pass with their loads.

Jesus teaches us renunciation in this passage, because that is precisely his Doctrine, to renounce ourselves and all that we have in order to be able to receive Christ in us:

"Therefore, whoever among you does not renounce all that he has, cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:33)

"And he said to all:" If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross every day, and follow me. For he who will save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. For what good is it for a human being to gain everyone, if he destroys himself or himself? " (Luke 9: 23-25)

No one will be able to pass through the narrow gate that gives into the Kingdom of God without first being relieved of all things and bowing their head. Humility precedes Glory. Remember that Jesus tells us that we have access to the Kingdom of God through his Blood, so Jesus' soul must replace ours, his blood must replace ours, we must die to make way for him, because as he says, the Kingdom of God is formed within us, it is Christ who reigns in us. It is therefore not only a question of entering this Kingdom after our physical death but from now on, here below, this Kingdom must be in us and we in it.

Let us remember that the disciples had already given up everything before being immersed in the Holy Spirit:

"Then Peter speaking, said to him," Behold, we have left everything and followed you. What then will it be with us? "" (Matthew 19:27)

It is therefore after having abandoned everything, abandoned our being to the Lord that we receive the treasure in heaven, the promise, Christ in us, to finally proclaim the Kingdom of God with Power. And money is in no way a sign of blessing, on the contrary, in this generation it would be rather a bad sign, because all those who follow the devil are filled with it, since as satan said to Jesus, the riches of this world belongs to him. Let us therefore give back to Caesar what is his and what belongs to God, that is to say our whole being that he bought not with money but with the price of his blood.

"I have neither gold nor silver, but what I have I give to you, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, arise and walk."

Now, in the Church, God says to provide for the poor, true Christians first, and then anyone we meet on our way who is hungry. Your money should no longer count for you, but that's not why you should waste it or enrich the bogus workers or associations of this world. No, take your time for God to guide you, to meditate, to understand, because you risk doing anything, the whole thing is already to detach yourself from money spiritually, and even to avoid it. talk because it's not the money itself that matters.

Let us detach ourselves from everything that holds us in this world so that we can see the Kingdom of God within us, and spread around us through our sanctified lives.
