Brotherly Love

When it comes to Brotherly Love, there is much to understand, however I will share briefly on this subject.

When the scriptures speak to us of Brotherly Love, it has nothing to do with what we can see in the churches and communities of today. Brotherly love, according to God, can only be lived between people who are committed to each other. People who have given up everything in this world to follow the Lord Jesus Christ together.

This love consists of each committed member giving his or her life for his or her brother or sister, and no longer living for himself or herself. There is no brotherly Love without true fellowship, therefore the members must be dedicated to the same goal, having the same faith, heart and mind.

In this fellowship we must have mutual care for one another, being without hypocrisy towards one another; and putting the common interest before our own. This is the basis of true brotherhood, but there are many deeper things to understand.

If we love our brothers/sisters in Christ who are committed (truly) to the same Way as we are (in the same Doctrine), then we must act with them according to God's will, according to the Love that God asks us to have for one another. We must be available to each other, help each other in all that is right, encourage each other, exhort each other, rebuke each other if necessary; we must not be an occasion of fall or scandal for each other; we must not make those who are patient with us wait if we have the power to act immediately...

We must be different from the people of the world, because these people are fallen from true Love. We cannot therefore live true fraternal Love with people who are not committed to the same Way with us, but only with those who are consecrated like us. We must love others, and even our enemies, but this has nothing to do with the Love of neighbour (because the neighbour is the one who is our brother/sister in Christ) which consists in loving the other as oneself.

If we are brothers/sisters, then we must consider each other much more than we consider others; we must not under any circumstances put anyone else before those who are committed to us; our Love must be much stronger, for it must be commensurate with the way God loves us, who do His will by putting His Word into practice. It is by seeing the Love we have for each other (us in Christ) that others will be touched, which means that this Love is far greater than anything we can see in the world today.

Believers who fully surrender their lives for each other, and who act only for the common good of the community, is what we are to be. This is how the true Church will be reborn and how it will be accompanied by the Power of God, when each member gives up his own life and gives it up for his neighbour, and they share their possessions to meet each other's needs, and they lift up their voices to God as one soul. This is what the Enemy wants to prevent us from living, simply because it would put an end to his reign over the Church, and it would announce that his end is near.

I have not quoted any Bible verses but I invite you to read all the writings of the new covenant to confirm what is really the brotherly love that we must live in Christ.
