How to walk in the Spirit?

Paul denounces sin in Romans 6 and he teaches us that we must be dead to sin. In chapter 7 which follows, Paul explains to us that when we received the Law from the Spirit of God, sin came back to life in us, being itself condemned in the flesh by the Law of Christ, our understanding was changed, and our sins were manifested to us as sins:

"What shall we say then? Shall we remain in sin, that grace may be multiplied? May this never happen! For we who have died to sin, how shall we still live in sin?" (Romans 6: 1-2)

"As for me, being once lawless (the Law of the Spirit of Christ), I lived, but when the commandment came sin came to life, and I died. So the commandment that leads to life came to pass. is found for me to lead to death. "

"Has that which is good then become for me death? Not at all! But sin, in order to manifest itself as sin, produced in me death by what is good, so that by means of the commandment , sin becomes excessively sinful. " (Romans 7:13)

He then explains to us that there are therefore now two laws in us, the law of sin, and the law of the Spirit, and that he who walks according to the flesh is subject to the law of sin, while he who walks according to the Spirit is subject to the Law of the Spirit of God:

"So therefore I myself, in the spirit, indeed am a slave to the law of God, but by the flesh to the law of sin." (Romans 7: 25 °

The Word therefore exhorts us to walk in the Spirit by telling us that it is the only solution to submit to the Law of Christ and not to fulfill the desires of the flesh:

"I say therefore to you: walk in the Spirit; and you shall not fulfill the desires (lusts) of the flesh." (Galatians 5:16)

In Romans 8, that is to say the continuation, Paul teaches us the key which will allow us to walk according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh (indeed his teaching is complete and it leads to the solution). And he teaches us that those who walk according to the flesh are those who think about the things of the earth, while those who walk in the Spirit are those who think about things above, of the Kingdom of God:

"For those who are according to the flesh think of the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit of the things of the Spirit. Now the thoughts and purposes of the flesh are death, but the thoughts and the purposes of the Spirit are life and peace; because the thoughts and purposes of the flesh are enmity against God, because they do not submit to the law of God and do not 'are not even capable of it. And those who are in the flesh cannot please God. " (Romans 8: 5-8)

The Lord confirms this thought to us by telling us that we must first seek the Kingdom of God and his righteousness without worrying about anything, and that all things will be given above (in addition) (Matthew 6:33).

He also teaches us the same thing by telling us that he is the true Vine and that we are the branches, and that OUTSIDE HIM we cannot PRODUCE ANYTHING. He invites us by this not to worry about the things of the world, not to think about it, likewise with regard to lust, and to remain attached to him, in his presence, at his feet, because it is so. that he himself will produce in us all kinds of deliverances and that God will make us his children and instruments of his glory (John 15: 1-17)

There is now no condemnation for those who walk in the Spirit because they are in Jesus Christ, because to be a child of God one must allow oneself to be led perfectly by the Spirit by being fully subject to it. God therefore gives us who have believed, through his Spirit, the power to BECOME children of God by walking in the Spirit and not according to the flesh, by thinking of the things of the Kingdom of God and not of the things of the earth.

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk, not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8: 1)

"For that which was impossible with the law because it was weakened by the flesh, God, by sending his own Son in a flesh like that of sin and because of sin, condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteousness of the law be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. " (Romans 8: 3-4)

"For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live, for all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God." (Romans 8: 13-14)
